Hey All,
Just a small update. Just a small mod to the cars but I figured I would write this up. I have a buddy that just moved out to Missouri to work for an aftermarket LED company named Diode Dynamics. He sent me out a few samples to try out in my cars. So far, I have been very impressed.
Full Disclosure: Diode Dynamics wanted me to try their product so bad that they hired my friend and I begged him for some product. Eventually, some were mailed to my house, First Class.
The GX stock lights leave something to be desired. I installed some A pillar Lights before winter but I wanted some LED fogs that I could use more often. Also, one of my back up lights had burned out so I wanted a set of LEDs to go in there too. Here is what I got:
1. back up lights - cool white XP50s
Backup LEDs for 2010-2019 Lexus GX460 (pair)
!!! UNSUPPORTED LINE BREAK IN HEADER !!!
2. Low Beams - My Camry uses the H11 bulbs
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
3. Fog lights - cool white - SLF
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
Stock Vs Diode Dynamics
Impressions:
Overall, I am very impressed with all the lights. Everything I received was plug and play. Very quick and easy to install. I love the color temperature of the lights I chose. I didn’t want anything too blue. I wanted the brightest white.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
My favorite have to be the SL1 Headlights. The cut off is impressive. I have had HIDs in this car and these look much better. I think they are definitely worth the upgrade. Compared to stock, they are night and day.
Let me know if you have any questions!

Well done.
I first bought the interior LED panels from Diode Dynamics for my FJC. Front and Rear, 12 LEDs on each board IIRC . Night and No-Longer-Night difference in my typically dark-hu ed Toyota interior. Especially in the rear cargo area which had an absolutely dismal light bulb there before.
Later I splurged for the SmartTap flasher module and set about replacing my turn signals, brake lights, and backup lights with their brightest replacements as needed. There’s a basic $20 version of the flasher module just to prevent hyperblinking when using LEDs as turn signals. I got the s mart version which gave me one-tap turn signals the FJC didn’t come with and a few other options. I really like the ‘arrival/departure’ lighting which makes your car stand out in a dark and crowded parking lot instantly.
Not cheap if purchased all at once, but I didn’t and I am v ery happy with my DD purchases . Hopefully I will never have to get at the rear passenger-side lights (behind the damn subwoofer) again, lol.
I will say that because OEM lights are designed around a regular heated filament bulb spec the LED replacements never seem as insanely bright when installed as they were in hand just a minute before. This is even more true if the brake/turn light has a dimmer-than-clear red/ amber colored lens. The reason is that the stock light housing is design ed to use light from a single focused point, and no LED can replicate that exactly yet. This video of theirs about headlight bulbs explains it pretty well but the same focus aspect also applies to every turn/brake/backup light housing on a vehicle.
Been eyeballing their 6in light bars because the price point is killer, but I’ll still probably end up with some BajaDesigns S2 units just because their physical size is so small and I want my auxiliary light to stand out as little as possible when not in use .

Oh, and for anybody with a newer vehicle stumbling through here...
I am pretty jealous of some of their vehicle-specific light brackets.

Baja makes some really good lights. I wish the SmartTap worked in my GX but it doesn’t. My Lexus has a 18 pin relay from what I have read online. It is just one of those things. Glad you like your stuff. I’ll need to do the interior lighting at some point.

Honestly the interior lights provided the most dramatic difference and biggest benefit for the money of all these light upgrades.
